Q:My tropic diverter spout’s diverter gets stuck up or down. How can this be prevented from having to scrape away mineral deposits every few months? The water is not hard.

Answer This Question
A: Hello Jay66,
Thank you for reaching out to American Standard. I’m sorry to hear of the issue you have had with your American Standard 060340. I know that situation can be very frustrating. If mineral deposits are occurring the best way to keep them from building up is to spray the diverter with a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and hot water. Let the mixture sit on the spout for about thirty minutes before cleaning it off. If you ever have further questions, or need to place a claim, please contact us at 1-855-815-0004 and an American Standard Consumer Connection Advisor will be happy to assist you. We are available Monday - Friday between 9AM - 6PM ET.
Sincerely,
Nicole

A: Midda G,
As long as you get the IPS if it is threaded or a slip on model if there is a screw underneath the spout then yes you can use most any tub spout.
