A:  A black baffle will do a better job of reducing glare. A baffle is designed to reduce glare and shape light. A white baffle is the most popular, due to most ceilings being white.

              A:  Spiral springs. The instructions mention bending part of the (fixture?) so it won't be in the way of the baffle; that would be the clips for the torsion mount, I'd say.

              A:  Spiral springs. If your fixture has tabs for torsion springs, read the install directions! You will need to flatten those tabs to provide clearance for the baffle.
