A:  20 in X 20 in (O.D. face size) -- that is outside of the brickmold trim to the outside of the brickmold trim

    A:  The slats are spaced at 1 1/4" and a 45 deg. angle -- however, you can goto the Prodesk and custom order 1 with more space. Yes they do have fiberglass screen on the back vent box.

      A:  The octagon box on the back is 2 1/2" deep and 18" from flat side to flat side. If you need a different size -- Home Depot Pro Desk will be able to help you order that.

            A:  The rough opening is 18" from side to side. The Brickmould extends 1" all the way around from the vent box.

              Q:Does the 18-inch wood round louvered vent mount flush to the gable? Or does it recess into a cutout in the gable? In other words, is the backside of the louver flat? Thank you.

              A:  This particular vent is not flush mount. It is intended to be an actual working vent and so a hole must be cut in to the attic space
