        Answer This Question

A:  Hi, JimB - Coiled poly pipe of any type can be a bit hard to work with when it's cold and the product hasn't had a chance to "relax". We suggest you lay it out in the sun with a heavy object at each end. That should help straighten it out.

          Answer This Question

A:  Hi, elge - You're correct . . . local codes are very specific regarding the burial depths of certain types of pipe. In a frost zone, you'd want to bury it deeper. Generally codes range from 12" (in warmer areas) to 24" in much cooler areas. You should check your local codes.

Q:I used apollo blue fittings for my 3/4 ADS brand poly pipe. Almost every connection Leaks. Clamps are very tight already. Only adding a second clamp stops the leak. What is the best way to fix leaks at fittings?

              Answer This Question

A:  After a bunch of messing around, I agree with you. But it's not just this pipe, it's *all* poly pipe. The blue fittings suck. In my opinion, use gray barbed fittings, and heat the pipe up a bit before install or you won't be able to push it in.

                  Answer This Question

A:  Hi, Andy - Generally the pipe has a bend radius 27 times that of the pipe's diameter. So, in this case .75 x 27 = 20.25".
