A: We screwed these in to the wooden beams/supports with a drill.

A: Acurio Lattice can be fabricated and installed with conventional woodworking tools. Panels can be cut down to size with a circular saw. We suggest using a carbide tipped blade with fine teeth. Number 8 stainless steel, triple galvanized, or ceramic coated screws are recommended for fastening.

Q:Will these work as a wind block?

Answer This Question
A: Acurio panels installed securely may help block some wind. High intensity winds do stand the chance of damaging our 1/4'' material. Check with the Pro Desk for thicker material if high intensity wind is a factor.

A: This pattern is relatively compact. I would think these would be helpful as a wind block if that's your goal.

Q:I live in the desert, we get some 120' days. Will this hold up on a gate that gets direct sun?

Answer This Question
A: I would imagine so- it’s built pretty tough ...
It might loose its color a little - although mine have been in the direct sun for hours at a time, and they seem to be holding up fine ...
It won’t melt if that’s what your thinking- they are built specifically for outdoor use - very good quality.
Hope this helps

A: Our 1/4'' black material may not be the best option for extreme environments such as a desert climate with high temperatures. Our 1/4'' white material will hold up much better under these conditions.

Q:Can the panels be painted and if so what would be the most suited type of paint to use
by|Aug 14, 2020

Answer This Question
A: Yes, use a quality interior or exterior vinyl, latex or acrylic lacquer paint (do not use oil based paints).
Priming prior to painting is only necessary if required by the paint manufacture.

A: I wouldn't recommend painting, but we did not try doing that.

Q:Can these be attached to the side of deck railing which is about 2", or will they have issues with sagging if only supported by the bottom being attached (ie., no other framing to keep the shape).?

Answer This Question
A: Acurio Lattice panels do best when framed in on all sides. Securing on one side will not be enough support for the panels.

A: If I understand what you are asking it sounds like you want to know if they will stand up if only attached at the bottom. They will stand up but will be very flimsy and could bend in wind or if bump into, I would recommend attaching at top and bottom for good construction.
