Answer This Question
A: It's the same as the front. Good quality. Should work well for your intended application. We are using it as a substitute for lattice to frame in the underside of our porch. We may purchase more to use as a decorative element on working shutters by cutting down the center and using construction adhesive. Nice idea to use as a fireplace decoration. Best of luck.

A: The back is like the front design as well as the color.

A: The back is the same as the front. The finish is the same on both sides. We do not recommend horizontal applications. Panels may begin to sag over time when installed horizontally.

Answer This Question
A: We have not installed it yet but it looks very sturdy. We ordered some about 4 years ago from Home Depot and although it is not the same design it has held up very well.

A: Not sure if furniture grade, but it gets the full Georgia sun where furniture covers fade in 1 season. Panel hasn’t faded and it still has some flex, not brittle. Still happy with it.

A: Holds up great in the sun, we’ve had these
Panels for over a year, we did trim around each panel but no discolor, no warping and still going strong

A: Our panels are made of cellular PVC.

A: It’s thin and light, which made hanging easy. It’s doing fine in the Jersey sun!

Answer This Question
A: It bends but not a lot. It may crack if the curvature is too much.
by|Oct 16, 2019
A: I have a leftover section (measuring 1-ft x 32") and tried to bend it to see how much give there is. It didn't bend much at all, and felt as if it might snap.
by|Apr 23, 2019
A: There is a limited amount of flexibility in our panels. They can be bent around a slight arch. Heat bending is a possibility but requires some experience.
by|Apr 26, 2019
A: They're fairly rigid. I wouldn't plan on being able to bend them significantly, unless you heat them up. But that would require some experimentation and you may end up ruining a prototype or two.

Q:Can panels be easily cut?
What type of saw?

Answer This Question
A: Yes. It's thin as has flex. We went with a fine tooth saw blade on our table saw; however, because we were cutting long ways we switched to a hand held circular saw using a workshop bench and a locking rail to guide. We got more support for the sagging tendencies of the product using this method. If you've never worked with a pvc product before... the filings cling to everything because cutting it creates static. I would recommend working outside with a shop vac nearby.

A: The panels do cut easily with standard carpentry tools. A circular saw with a carbide blade will work just fine.

A: Yes, a basic utility knife could score and bed to cut.
A hacksaw blade would also work.

A: Yes I split them with a table saw

Q:I would like to use these for the top of the pergola, that I'm having built, they would be supported with redwood between each panel. Are they durable enough?

Answer This Question
A: Yes, I think they would be fine with the redwood between each panel. I have had mine on one side of my front and back porch for 2 years and they look like the day I put them up. I love them and my neighbors think they are beautiful.

A: I'm not sure if these are designed to hold up to weather conditions, but since they're vinyl, they very well might.

A: The Acurio panel we bought was really thin and flexible/flimsy so we returned it for a more taut lattice. HD does offer another similar panel that's durable/taut, but they actually sent us the wrong color and we couldn't use it! The Acurio is meant to be decorative, maybe hung for privacy but not for structural use IMO.
by|May 6, 2023
A: The black 1/4'' x 32'' x 48'' Acurio Lattice panels are not recommended for pergola top applications. The black panels will not do well in direct sunlight in that type of application. The white panels are a better option for that certain type of application.
by|May 6, 2023
A: Will you have a layer of wood behind each panel? The panels are not rigid enough to stand by themselves. I've used the Acurio Latticeworks panels to build a trellis and a pet gate, for which I built a frame along the outside edges, but they were still a bit flimsy being made of vinyl. For other outdoor projects I've used the panels as a decorative layer backed by solid wood (T&G cedar for a planter; PT plywood for doors on a small garden shed).

Answer This Question
A: If you have little kids, I wouldn't recommend it. Not strong enough to take any kind of weight. You're still gonna need the spindles.
