A:  The top cap on these bases did not fit my smooth surface 3" pole. These would probably fit a fluted pole purchased from the same company. I applied them to my existing smooth 3" poles and had to machine them.

A:  No, this is one piece. I had to remove the lights from the pole and slide it over the top. This item is only compatible with the poles they sell. I applied these to my existing lamp posts and had to machine them myself in order to get them to fit.

A:  Yes, but they are not compatible with existing 3" poles. They are made to be sold with their fluted poles. I had to machine these top caps in order to get them to fit my existing 3" poles

A:  Yes, this post base is for use with 3 in. fluted posts only.
