Q:what type/size anti short bushing does it need?

Q:In the photo there are some antishort bushings that seem to say they match and are 5/16”. However there are NO other connectors in store listed as 5/16”. So, im wondering if maybe I’ll be doing all the work with 3/8” connectors.

    A:  Unfortunately it cannot. Bare armored cable per the National Electrical Code (NEC) is not suitable for wet locations. The NEC defines a wet location in a number of ways one of which is "in direct contact with the earth". An armored cable with a PVC jacket over it, would be necessary for it to be used running the cable underground.

          A:  What you will need then is a MC (Metal Clad) Cable and not BX Cable. The Home Depot sku is 744716 and AFC #2104S42-AFC. This MC Cable will have the black, white and green insulated conductors in 12 gauge (solid). This item should also be stocked in every Home Depot store location.
