A:  There are 35 holes on this item.

A:  They should be placed through the back or the small side. You can fasten the wires to hold the lights in place with a heavy duty stapler or something similar.

A:  Tree is 29.5 inches. Same style through the years has ranged from approximately 2 ft. to 36 inches although I don't know the manufacturers. Home Depot's offering has always been the same size-29,5 inches.

A:  It's 24" with the base on. It comes unattached but with two wood screws. Mine was a problem as the holes were not drilled properly for the lights to go through so needed to get a drill bit to open it up a little. One was so close to the top it came through the side. I used it for a mosaic piece with probably 300 pieces of glass glued on and still need to paint.

A:  If you paint it with exterior paint.

A:  It would be in you used outdoor paint or finish. It's wood and needs protected from the weather.

A:  No, I wouldn't recommend it for outdoor use unless under a porch entry covered area. It's not designed to get wet and isn't heavy to withstand other weather elements.

A:  I wouldn't unless I put a coat of primer on it and a wood sealant. It doesn't appear to be made for outdoors.
