Q:Does this come with an option besides the glass/plastic knob? I prefer a metal handle. Based on the description, my model does have the screw holes at 5 and 7.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, this is not available in a full remodel kit with a lever handle and different hole placement. You could purchase model 10002 (http://www.homedepot.com/p/DANCO-Single-Handle-Valve-Trim-Kit-for-MOEN-Tub-Shower-in-Brushed-Nickel-10002/202562815), which would address the hole placement issues and come with a lever handle, and then purchase the tub spout, shower arm, and shower head separately.

Q:Is it possible to purchase the kit components separately? I can't seem to find them listed separately. All I really want is the tub spout and the faucet handle/flange combo. I have already replaced the shower arm and head, and have the stopper and overflow flange.

Answer This Question
A: Totally INCORRECT - Moentrol and Standard are completely different Valves. This description needs to be updated. THIS ONE is for a STANDARD valve with the 5 & 7 screw hole position. Moentrol has screws in the 2 & 7 position.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Moentrol is the proper name for what is commonly called the Moen Standard Valve. It pulls out to turn on, and turns left and right to adjust temperature.

Answer This Question
A: yes. That is what I replaced. The plate behind the pull/push knob has phillips screws at 5 and 7.
My faucet screwed off and then the inner guts of the faucet were attached with a phillips screw.

A: Yes. We had trouble finding a trim kit for an ancient Moen faucet with screw holes at 5:00 and 7:00, but this one worked perfectly for us.

Answer This Question
A: Hi Tony,
No, it will not work. This product is intended for use on a Moentrol valve with mounting holes at the 5 and 7 o’clock positions. We suggest you use the following parts as an alternative:
89245 – Showerhead
89241 – Shower Arm and Flange
10002 – Trim Kit
89239 – Lift and Twist Drain Assembly
Please advise if we may be of further assistance.
Best regards,
Danco Support

A: No - this is for the Standard valve with 5 & 7 position. Moen does make adapters to retrofit Moentrol to Standard. See: http://www.moen.com/customer-support/faq/q?refno=2
