A:  Totally INCORRECT - Moentrol and Standard are completely different Valves. This description needs to be updated. THIS ONE is for a STANDARD valve with the 5 & 7 screw hole position. A:  Thank you for your inquiry. Moentrol is the proper name for what is commonly called the Moen Standard Valve. It pulls out to turn on, and turns left and right to adjust temperature.

A:  yes. That is what I replaced. The plate behind the pull/push knob has phillips screws at 5 and 7. My faucet screwed off and then the inner guts of the faucet were attached with a phillips screw.
