A: I am somewhat familiar with these valves, old and new style, but I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. Have you contacted Orbit? I want to say I have contacted them in the past and they were helpful.

Q:I bought replacement valves - 1" like these. The new ones are slightly longer at the threads. I matched the valves side by side. What do the numbers on the opposite side of the directional arrows mean? Clock numbers with a 0 arrow and 7 pointing at the 10 on the old one installed in 2009 and a 1 arrow and 8 pointing at the 6 on the new one. I want to make sure they are the same valve. Thank you

Answer This Question
A: the black thing one top of the green jar with the wires coming out is the solenoid valve. It can manually be turned on or off using the thumb lever attached to the solenoid. There is no "adjustment", it is either full on or full off. The thumb lever will hit a stop, which is visible on the top of the jar, each direction.

A: Freddie, that depends on a few other important bits of information, such as the extent of the leak and the type of sprinkler head. Please contact our Support team at 1-800-488-6156, and we'd be happy to help troubleshoot with you until the issue is resolved.

A: Is the black valve at the top turned? One way turns it on manually, the other turns it off. If you still have a problem there may be a grain of sand or rust under the seal. You will have to unscrew the green cap, remove the top. Be careful of the spring inside, remove the rubber seal and clean it and the seat it sets on. Put it back together and screw green cap back on.

A: The sprinkler line could just be draining.? Or valve is bad. Just not enough information.
