A: Maybe I’m missing it, do you see a pole attachment?
A: Hello - Thank you for leaving your review. We sell a variety of blades for our hand masker to use with films or paper. No blade is included in this specific package, as noted on the packaging and in the description. This so that our customers may use their current 3M Film or Paper blades, or purchase the blade that best suites their needs. We sell the blades separately, and the one you are looking for is our Straight Cut Blade (FB12-SC). If you have any additional questions or concerns, please connect with us directly at 1-800-494-3552 M-F 8am-4:30pm CT and reference your case number 28729403.
A: Hello - The blades can be purchased separately or together in a 3M M3000 Starter Kit. The 3M™ Hand-Masker™ FB12 12" Straight Cut Blade is designed to cut masking film with a durable, sharp, and stainless steel blade. Includes a plastic blade guard and has an assembly that attaches to the end of the roll to help provide a straight cut. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to our team at 1-800-846-8887 Mo-Fri 8am-4:30pm CT.
A: Mine did not come with one and the blade I bought did not come with one. I have never seen, nor can I find, this end attachment for sale anywhere. I have used mine with only flat paper and the paper fits on the cone just fine without an end attachment.

A: Yes. But if you get it too wide the blade might not cut all the way across the tape
A: I can't say officially, but the tape size didnt seem to matter. However, you need wider size blue tape in order for it to work properly. it needs enough surface to be able to adhere to the plastic, and to have a lip in order to stick to surfaces.
A: Mine is inaccessible at the moment, so I can't actually try it, but I think it would work with most widths of tape, BUT it's designed for 15/16 inch tape and the extra width would just be wasted- more on the paper or plastic masking, same amount on the masked surface. It will work with any color masking tape that is on a standard ID roll. The advantage of the blue tape is that it's less likely to damage the surface you're masking, which sometimes justifies the extra cost, about twice as much.

A: No it does not. A 12 Inch blade is available for separate purchase.
A: I need to update my answer. It appears I purchased an offer which included the cutting blade. 3M Hand-Masker 12-Inch Film Blade. I checked the original package and it wasn't included. Please disregard my previous answer.
A: Yes, A serrated edge blade is part of the guard. It extends far enough to cut both masking material and tape. A guard for the edge is also provided because of the sharpness. It will take a few tries to refine your technique for cutting your masking.
A: Hello, the 3M Hand-Masker Film Blade is sold separately. Thanks for asking!
