Q:Can I use this for sewer
by|Apr 8, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Hi, Tawni - It depends on the application. Most folks would use a non-perforated pipe to discharge sewer waste. However, if you're using it in a leach field, it would be acceptable. Also, the more popular size is 4" for sewer applications. Sorry we cannot be more definitive given the limited information provided.

      Answer This Question

A:  Hi, Leslie - Wrapping the perforated pipe with drain fabric is a good idea to keep soil from entering the pipe. There are many video reviews on line as well as adspipe.com. Suggest you look at a few of them for additional details and ideas.

        Answer This Question

A:  Hi, Gary - Yes it can. It has a minimum burial level of 12" so you might want to consider burying the pipe with sand, then some natural soil, and finally some rock on top. Should work just fine.

          Answer This Question

A:  Wrapping the pipe with heat tape will block the perforations reducing it's efficiency. The pipe is rated for -50°F so it's unlikely it'll freeze.
