Universal Fine or Coarse Thread Replacement Bathtub Tip-Toe Drain with 2-Hole Faceplate, Polished Brass

This is an attractive, high-quality kit, and a snap to install. The Tip Toe drain kit is heavy brass and nicely finished (no rough edges or burrs on the threads). The only thing that felt a little lightweight was the 2-hole faceplate, but it is sturdy enough for the job it does, and the Polished Brass finish was excellent across the board. My application did require the included bushing for proper installation in our 20 y/o house. Start to finish, it was a 10-minute job, made easier with a drain removal tool, & #3 Philips screwdriver for the 2-hole faceplate. FYI - the large rubber gasket around the bushing should only be required for new tub installations (but discarded when replacing existing drain kits). Hope you found this helpful. The Universal tip-toe trim Kit with 2 hole overflow cover is a very attractive set for any bath tub. The Chrome finish is flawless. The tip-toe open or close drain functions perfectly and seals very well. This feature only requires a push to operate. It can be installed on drains with either a 1-1/2" × 1-3/8" with the included Brass Adapter. Installation is simple, with tool also sold at Home Depot.

I know it is just a drain stopper but when you need a new one, buy this one. It far exceeds the old one in installation, quality and looks. The brass adapter ring makes it work for any tub drain I have seen and i like the brass not plastic. the old one used a caulk sealer and took about 30 minutes to get out and clean up. this one uses a rubber washer and took 5 minutes to install, i love it.

The Westbrass Universal Tip-Toe Drain 2-Hole Strainer Trim Kit was exactly what I was looking for in updating the look and functionality of my bathtub trim. The oil-rubbed bronze finish matched ‘exactly’ with the other new fixtures in the bathroom. Out of the box, I could see that it was made out of metal, plastic, and rubber. It felt heavy for its size, so my immediate impression was that it was a quality item. Installation was a breeze. I honestly didn’t even have to resort to using the directions, so I can’t vouch for their clarity or lack thereof! The fact that I didn’t need directions to install the trim kit speaks for itself as far as the ease of the job is concerned. I love that the kit included the brass bushing adapter. If you’re like me, you won’t know exactly what size drain plug you even need until you’ve removed your old one. The fact that this kit comes with an adapter means you won’t have to make an extra trip to the hardware store to either purchase an adapter or exchange your kit for another of the proper size. Since the adapter is included already, you’re covered either way. In my case, I needed it & was glad to have it. In general, I like the ease and appearance of the push-button style of drain stoppers. I’ve installed them in all my bathroom sinks. They all work great, and keep the sinks from getting clogged. This is the first push-button tub-drain I’ve tried in my house - and the first Westbrass product. Upon completing installation, I closed the drain plug, ran the water for a few seconds and listened to see if any was slipping past the washer gasket. . . Nothing! The drain plug past its first test. I have noticed that the push-button is a little wobbly for my taste, probably because of the plastic parts. Its flexibility can be a strength of course; it won’t easily break if too much “sideways” pressure is applied to it by accident. I do however worry it could also be a weakness. Over time, the parts could weaken and even break the push-button off the rest of the drain plug. That’s just me being nit-picky. The two-hole faceplate went on easy, once I got the rest of the old drain assembly out of there. The whole thing looks and functions wonderfully. Now you’ve done it, Westbrass! I’ve got to get to work classing up the rest of my tub’s finish and fixtures!

Universal Tip-Toe Drain 2-Hole Strainer Trim Kit, all quality and included is a brass bushing to adapt fine thread drain plug to fit 1-1/2 in. NPSM (1-7/8 in. - 11-1/2 UNC) coarse thread tub shoe. A drain tool is nice to have to remove the old drain and you need some plumbers putty too! Push down on cap to open and close drain plug. Very easy to install and use. No instructions but you really don't need any if you have basic repair skills.

This drain was probably the easiest drain we’ve ever installed. Most drains require that you use needle nose or some other type of plier, inserted into the drain, to either install or remove it. Somebody actually thought this through and provided a place where you can use a common screwdriver to install/remove the drain. Much easier than trying to screw or unscrew using pliers. The drain works well; easier to open and close with a single toe tap. Even still, it open and shuts much easier than our previous drain. It looks very nice and all components are metal. The only negative, the reason it gets 4 instead of 5 stars, is because the two cut-outs on the overflow trim are ragged with sharp areas. Since most folks don’t typically put their fingers inside the cut-outs I’m not too concerned however, it does speak to the quality of the item.

The Universal Trim Kit for Tub an excellent replacement for most tubs drain and overflow. The drain plug is well design, well built, has a beautiful chrome finish and a tight seal. In the other hand, the construction of overflow plate, has some sharp corners and some rough edges. I do recommend this product, regardless, these minor roughness can be easily removed with a fine file or emery cloth.

I replaced an 'oil rubbed, bronze' drain that had begun to flake off after a year and with only sporadic use. This drain and overflow combination matched my shower hardware perfectly. The drain comes with an adapter if your drain threads are larger, though I didn't have to use it. This drain has a "toe activated" stopper so there's nothing to hide under the sink or to flop around like those irritating stoppers that 'push down'. Install was quick and the drain comes with an gasket so there's no need for plumber's putty. The overflow cover went on easily and it features a two-screw mount and the screws matched the color perfectly, as well. Good quality and a good addition to my almond shower.

I bought this product because the one that was suppose to go with my tub the plumber couldn't get it to connect. So my plumber was telling me about the toe stopper, but when I went to the Home Depot store they only had it in chrome and nickel, I wanted the polish Brass. I was on the phone with a Home Depot specialist and she found the one I wanted. The price was great and they shipped it to me in 2 days. Very satisfy.

Worked perfectly, color matched exactly, old one was a little difficult but new one was a piece of cake!!
