After years of doing things the hard way, I finally bought a drywall lift. The Troy unit is heavy and seems well made. Very simple to set up and all of the pieces went together without any tools. You do have to lift up on the whole unit a bit to get the flip down stop to set correctly, but that is no big deal. No problems cranking up 4x8 sheets of drywall and the mechanism works smoothly. All lifts are big, so don't expect to use it in a closet or anything. I even used it to hang sheets on a wall and it worked well there too. Very happy I bought it and should have done it much sooner!
