A: I believe it comes with 4 screw pegs. You can reach out to the parent company here: To request Earth Machine Replacement Parts, please call 416-745-7106 or email: enviro@orbiscorporation.com. Another option might be to get metal tent spikes. Hope this helps.

Had an Earth Machine when living in upstate New York. Gave it to friends when I moved out of New York in 2001. Friends are still using the Earth Machine to date. My friends advised that the Earth Machine has withstood two bear attacks. Now that I have my own home again with large vegetable/flower/herb garden areas thought the Earth Machine would be of great use going forward.
Easy to set up and put together. Large opening at top makes it easy to pour materials into the Earth Machine. Cover is easy to take off and put back on. With the cover you can set the venting at the top from low to high. Included with the Earth Machine was a sheet with tips on composting and which materials are acceptable/unacceptable for composting.

This compost bin is an oldie but a goodie. I am replacing a replica that has been in use in the family for over 20 years! Making decent compost requires physical work to keep the mixture cooking properly. The circular design allows you to reach all of the contents with a pitchfork and/or compost tool. I believe it to be the best stationary compost bin on the market. Tip: Empty it by fall and compost all of your kitchen scraps through the winter. Have brown matter like shredded leaves available for a proper mix.

It was not easy to a assembled, I have it for a month and I still struggling every time I opened it to add more stuff to it. The middle part always comes up with the lid. The button part doesn’t click as supposed to the middle part; even I did follow the introductions. Is not what I expected.

Needed something to transfer unfinished compost from a tumbler type. Our Arizona hot, dry & (currently) windy climate required something that would keep more moisture in to complete the process. This item appears to be just the thing. It is keeping wildlife out, and moisture in. We did need to use a piece of hardware cloth underneath to keep out rodents. So far so good, we have had it for almost a month, and it seems to be doing the trick.

We originally had one exactly like this provided to us by the county. It took 20 years to wear out. It also fades into the scenery/unobtrusive. This is a great product and ease of order and pick up at Home Depot was a good experience.

I have not had this unit long enough to see the results which is why I gave it four stars instead of five. It was easy to set up, and easy to use. I look forward to the results.

Simple to assemble, easy to use: exactly as described. Thus far the squirrels have fruitlessly expended calories attempting to get to the compost, kind of a corollary entertainment benefit (for us humans). A worthwhile investment.

It is great. I've had it for about a month now and I am very satisfied. It was easy to assemble and is perfectly sized for all of our family kitchen scraps. My wife and I do a lot of juicing and smoothie-making, so we output tons of compostable waste. The black plastic is thick and seems to be extremely durable. The included hold-down screws drove easily into the ground and are holding the composter securely. The lid is easy to open and close. We have had no problems with smell to date.
Importantly, this the "The Best Composter for Kitchen Scraps" according to The Sweethome, which is an excellent, thorough review site.

As was described by many - easy to assemble the two parts to form the body. Easy to fit the screw on top and the slide in place lower door. The 4 screw-in stakes are perfect for anchoring the composter to the soil. I also put a 4' x 4', 1/4" mesh screen below first - to protect from pests, and then put the screw-a-stakes in. I feel like it is a good value at $99 - and although I had to order the product, it was at my local Home Depot in about a week. The box it comes in is large - but not excessively. I was surprised at how small it was, actually - but easier understood when you realize that the main shell comes at two inter-connecting cylinders. So far, so good - physically it's great, looks like Darth Vader - assembly was quick and easy, and functionally? We'll see - but it's in and working now.
