    • Description
      • Dual fuel: runs on liquid propane gas (LPG) or regular gasoline
      • Electric start feature
      • 6000 running watts/7500 surge watts

The Sportsman Series 6000/7500-Watt Dual Fuel Generator can power common major household appliances and power tools and provide emergency power during blackouts. It's great for running the RV while out on the road, or for keeping essential appliances going during a power outage with either regular gasoline or LPG (liquid propane gas). The 6.2 Gal. gas tank allows the unit to run on 87 octane gasoline for up to nine hours (at 50% load). You can also simply connect a typical gas grill 20 lb. cylinder to the unit with the supplied hose. The benefit of LPG is you will never experience a no-run situation due to bad gas again. With 7500 peak / 6000 rated watt, this powerful generator can handle the needs of most contractors, homeowners and recreational activities. Use the generator right out of the box with the recoil start or install a motorcycle battery (not included) to activate the electric start feature. The generator boasts an engine run time of nine hours at 50% on a common 20 lb. (gas grill type) cylinder (LPG cylinder not included) or 6.2 Gal. of unleaded gasoline. A 5 ft. propane fuel hose with a regulator is included for added convenience and the 13 HP engine is surprisingly quiet, running at less than 80 dB.

The generator is incredibly heavy like all generators but appears to be absolutely solid and a great piece of equipment! Really pretty simple to install wheels and handles but no thanks to the poor instructions. If you put the wheels on backwards they will rub against the frame, simply turn the wheel around and they turn freely. Another thing that is rather confusing is that it says that the engine holds 28.7oz of oil but it also says to add oil up to the threads of the oil dip stick. Well you can't have both apparently because I added a whole quart (32oz.) Of oil and it is still not up to the threads....and yes I did this on level ground. All said I really love this generator!!!! We don't have to worry about old gas messing up the carb since we are using (2) 100 lb LP tanks. The gasoline option is still really nice especially since put a good quality gas shut off valve in line. If I do use gas then I simply need to shut the valve off while the generator is still running which will run the gas out of the carb and thus no problems. After giving it a test run it easily ran a fridge, 2 tv's, furnace, all lights downstairs and upstairs and a computer on dsl. It is a high power generator and that is why we got it. With everything running it still wasn't running hard or at capacity.

Pros Durable, Easy to Use, Sturdy, Strong, Long-Lasting Cons instructions could be better
