About This Product
Post and column bases secure the bottom of posts or columns to concrete and are perfect for decks or patio covers. Models are available for attaching to existing hardened concrete, wet concrete, as well as wood. The BC series is for light base applications.

Q:Could this be used as a post cap connection? A 6x6 PTL post is being used to replace existing porch columns and will get wrapped; however, the beam above should not show the metal tabs, as would be the case with, say, the BC6 or AC6.

I would qualify recommending this item... It is rather expensive, and after securing it with screws to a concrete floor is looked solid enough, but after installing the 6x6 columns, we notice that the columns sway rather easy, much more than I expected. Given time, I would have use different bracket to support the columns. And did I say that they are expensive...
