It is lightweight and portable; the perfect addition for any job site. No more holding a saw in 1 hand and your material in the other; the BladeRunner X2 offers fixed blade placement so you have both hands on the material for easier, more precise results. The Rockwell BladeRunner X2 is a unique multi-purpose machine that combines the cutting characteristics of a table saw, jig saw, band saw and scroll saw all into one incredibly easy-to-use and versatile tool. The BladeRunner X2 is always ready when you are; stop spending more time setting up to make a cut than actually cutting. Just flip on the switch and you are in business. The BladeRunner X2 is designed to be your own personal workstation with its stainless steel table construction. Change Blades in Seconds. In the past, you would need multiple saws to perform rip cuts or scroll cuts, but not anymore. You can perform all these cuts now using only 1 tool, just by changing out the blades. The BladeRunner X2 comes with 5 different T-Shank blades to make different cuts in multiple materials. Changing these blades only takes 3 seconds and requires no tools. The stainless steel cutting zone allows the tile to move freely for added control. The included miter gauge assures for a precise angle every time.

First off, what the X2 is not: A table saw or router. What it is: An upside-down jigsaw. It is lightweight and easy to carry, so unless you bolt the item to a workbench, it will move, because you will press your material into a machine where the blades are moving up and down. If you don't want to bolt it, there is a very handy bracket that hooks the X2 to the front of your bench (you can see the black wire bracket in the picture of the product). I usually use it on a piece of plywood on sawhorses. It is perfect for making those little cuts, like the feet of a shelf stand or cpvc pipe. It does not rip 2x4's, because you would never use a jigsaw to rip 2x4's. Bottom line - if you are rehabbing your house, buy a table saw and a miter saw. But when a table saw is overkill, like if you want to make six identical 1-by legs for a custom printer stand, then fence up the X2 and cut away, because that's where this product shines. It's not the last tool you will buy, but you will use it more often than your jigsaw because it's light, has a fence, and, when mounted properly, is easier and more consistent than anything except a table saw.
