This sliding Door mortise lock by Prime-Line Products is constructed of steel and has a rounded-end, steel face plate. The keyway of this mortise lock stands in a vertical position with hook fully extended when in the locked position. The hook projection is easily adjustable with the turn of a screw. For use on patio sliding doors constructed of both wood and vinyl materials. This lock can be installed easily with a few simple tools.

Q:The lock I have looks dimensionally the same but I can't tell if the latch is exactly the same, it looks similar. This pulled Andersen lock is a model 2573558 and andersens new model is 2562123 lock and receiver kit I also need 1997061 Two rollers

Q:I have an anderson door gcc c-l-82g and the lock broke I dont feel the need to replace the whole thing. But this part would it work? the hook wont come out anymore.

Andersen has another mortise lock that Prime-Line Products does not have. But if your original does look like the E 2171 and the dimensions match accordingly, then it should work.

Sturdy, new, and easy to install

While it still feels a little overpriced, Home Depot still had the best price around. Easy to install, allowed us to keep the original exterior hardware. We had to replace the old one because it just became jammed up. If this one lasts as long, it will have been a good buy.
