this is a really bright light and allows my wife to work at night very effectively. the light that is emitted is about 5000k, which is easy on the eyes and renders colors neutral (as opposed to tungsten or incandescent). the power switch isn't my favorite: it's a push for on, push for off type of button, so it is in the same exact position whether the light is on or off. i much prefer a rocker switch where it is clear which position the switch is set to. but that's a minor point. i personally use the dual head version of this light as a video light and it works great as well. very nice light for video at a fraction of the price of 'bona-fide' video lights. attached is a snapshot of the light installed at my wife's workstation at home where she works on garments. also is another identical light installed at the ironing board. both are mounted to a 1x2 that has been attached to some part of the furniture. note the task light beside the light at the workstation. it is totally outclassed by this light. there is one side affect that will probably not be a problem for most people. this unit sends back some kind high-frequency oscillation from the power supply into the household power. if you notice at the ironing station, there are two oblong devices plugged into the power strip. these are timers and they are not compatible with this led light when using an ordinary power strip. i had to purchase an isobar from tripp lite to filter out the power oscillation from this led light so the timer would work properly. i was willing to go this route because i like this light so much.

      Pros Compact, Eco-Friendly, Very Bright
