Set your store for local inventory & pick up options.
    • Description

Highly prized for its large, superbly flavored, extremely sweet fruits, the 'Rainier' cherry flowers in spring and sets fruit in early summer. A very productive tree that needs either a 'Bing' or 'Black Tartarian' cherry tree for cross pollination. To ensure fully developed, sweet, ripe fruits, trees should be sited to maximize sun exposure to individual branches.

      • One of the sweetest and tastiest of all cherry varieties
      • For sweetest flavor, the tree needs plenty of sunlight
      • Requires 900 chill hours of a winter temperature below 45 deg F
      • Best cross pollinators are 'Bing' or 'Black Tartarian' cherry trees
      • Tree is grown in a 5 gal. pot and is approximately 3 ft. - 4 ft. tall after planting in ground
      • 5 gal. ships in pot unless state or federal regulations require otherwise
      • We’re sorry, due to state or federal regulations, this plant cannot be shipped to Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Michigan, Oregon, South Carolina, Utah or Washington
      • Plant ships as a bare root plant with no soil and no pot when shipped to Montana and Nevada
      • When shipped as a bare root plant, the Shake&Ship system will be used to remove soil from the roots, thus increasing the root tip surface area, which in turn, greatly enhances the ability of the plant to rapidly establish itself in the new environment
      • To accommodate mature size or when planting in groups, space 20 ft. away from other plants or structures
      • Performs best in plant growing zones 5 to 8, when grown in other zones, special care will be necessary

      Out of 5:
      • Very poor condition and small for the price
      • June 03, 2014

Paid $50 for a very small, branchless stick with a few leaves of it, in a bucket that I can't see measuring 5 gallons. This was not at all what was portrayed, or what I expected. Very disappointed and would not recommend this purcahse to anyone.

      Cons very small and branchless
