About This Product

The NIBCO 1-1/2 in. PVC DWV test tee features a hub x hub x cleanout connection with a plug to test the tightness of the system by assessing potential leakage. The NIBCO PVC DWV test tee is used in residential and commercial drain, waste and vent systems. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is the most frequently specified of all thermoplastic materials because of its light weight, durability, and cost-effectiveness.

A:  Yes they can be installed horizontal or vertical as long as the pipes have no water when being connected , the the pipes have to be drained

      Q:From the picture I see 2" on left and right, what is the size on the middle one (the threaded one)? Is the middle one 1-1/2" since the title says it? (there is a number 1 printed under the middle port, doesn't look like 1")

      A:  Thank you for your inquiry on the size of the middle thread of the 1-1/2in. PVC DWV H x H x FPT Cleanout Plug Tee. The opening is 1 ½” nominal size, NPT thread. Diagrams are available online www.nibco.com. From the home page, type in the figure number in the search bar in the upper right corner of the screen. When the next page loads, look for the picture of the product you are interested in, and click on the blue lettering next to the picture. The next page shows a blue bar that says “Models”. Click on the Models bar and a drop down menu appears showing the different sizes of the product that are available. Select the “BIM/CAD” button for size you are interested in. Several drawing options are available: 3D, 2D Front View, 2D Right Side View, Revit Model and 2D Sales Drawing.             We added an addition about 20 years ago and I...
            We added an addition about 20 years ago and I told the plumber to add extra clean out as I am a handyman and do small repairs myself. The plumber did a good job but apparently not good enough. I had a clog in my sink drain about 25 ‘ from the sink and about 25’ feet from the main sewer line. I tried and tried to snake the clog but it didn’t work. You’re right !!! The clog was in 26’. I installed this clean out about 6’ from the elbow, pulled out the goop and easy fix. Unless you’re planning to sell your house or suicide , put in more clean out than you think you’ll need because you probably will.
