Cut 12 gauge like butter
Okay so I've only tried this out on a few test samples. I first tried this on unistrut which I thought was 14 gauge, only later to realize it is 12 gauge. Stating that I'm not going to try cutting any more 12 gauge with this but for the little I did cut it did an awesome job - well that is until the metal scrap scroll got in the way and wasn't able to cut past that, but that is 12 gauge for ya. Everything else so far has been great.

Decent cutter.
Cuts well. Doesn't burn through batteries. Struggles a little over bends. Not very easy to keep straight but could be fine with lots of practice.

Does not cut 14 gauge. It can do 16gauge and not that well. It’s mostly good for 18 and under.

Tool will not cut 16 gauge sheetmetal. It is advertised...
Tool will not cut 16 gauge sheetmetal. It is advertised as able to cut 14 gauge which is thicker than 16 gauge but binds up when cutting 16 gauge and will not do the job.

Slow and straight cuts only
It’s hard to start the initial bite into the metal as the jaws do not open very wide. Only good to cut straight lines and I found that it is most effective at the slowest speed. Using it to cut 26 gauge roofing steel. Double shear is better at keeping the cut edge cleaner and with peas warping. I wish I had tried the nibbler instead although it appears to make more of a mess. It does save your hands from using traditional snips, but not really faster nor versatile.
