I bought a pack of these for cutting down some large bushes with 4" branches (more like small trees) just to try them out and with my 10-amp sawsall they just blow right through the wood like it's nothing. I also have a hand saw that accepts reciprocating saw blades and put one on there for odd-angle cuts and it works awesome by hand too, those deep teeth really remove a lot of stock and don't let it bind the blade up. I've also used these for demolition for cutting lumber, but if you do don't hit any nails or it'll dull the teeth quickly since they're designed for wood only. Another thing I used mine for was when I put in a fence for a customer, I was digging post holes by hand and would come across roots which brought me to a halt. A couple seconds later and a few passes in all directions with the pruning blade and the roots were shredded and taken out with the rest of the dirt. An easy solution that saved me hours and barely dulled the $4 blade. I'd highly reccommend these for anybody as an intermediate between using a hand-pruner and a chain saw, since it takes the grunt work out of cutting by hand and can be more detailed than a chain saw, without dealing with gas and oil. If you already have a reciprocating saw, just buy one of these and toss it in the case with your other blades. You'll end up using it one day and it'll really amaze you.
