      While this wallboard hole cutter is superior to a manual scribe, it still pales in performance to the more expensive (2x) hole saw bit. Cutting wallboard with a straight blade is laborious. You need to "saw" wallboard if you're unable to score and break it. The hole saw bit that pros use has saw teeth. The clear plastic cover that prevents dust from polluting everything quickly becomes coated and obscures your view of the tool's progress. It's fair to say that it solves one issue while creating another.
