1,000-Watt Electric Oil-Filled Radiant Portable Heater

The Mill radiant heater is very warm and quiet. It makes a cold room feel soft and cuddly.

Very happy with this heater. Works exactly as expected. Easy to use, silent, and best looking oil-filled radiant heater that I've found. Feels like very good quality materials and construction. No 1st use smell. Chose 1,000 watt unit (instead of 1,500 watt) to reduce long-term stress on house wiring and receptacle/plug. Has been very good at keeping a large bedroom (200 sqft) and adjacent bathroom temperature at 81 degrees (6 degrees above house temp). In service for two weeks. No dislikes at all. Nearby wood surfaces closest to top of heater (about 1 ft. away) only slightly warmer than room temp. FYI: No oil-filled radiant heater is going to raise a room temp 5 degrees quickly. It does the job gradually and then excels at holding the temp quietly and safely.

This product is sleek, modern, functional with an attractive design. Setting up took very little time, attaching the feet and turning on. It is recommend that you read the manual for important tips and safety precautions. Heating up right away, very quiet while holding the temperature and warming the room. Easy to use control panel, the day/night setting is a huge plus. This is the first unit I have had with the feature of setting the temperature from day to night. I would leave one heater running all day in the bedroom while at work. This solves that problem, I can program to come on before I get home. This is a very good product and we look forward to staying warm this winter.

This Mill Brand Electric Heater is simple but has lots of features. First it has a nice sleek design that looks good with silver and black as the primary colors. It has a digital control panel to show the temperature setting and other settings including temperature setting for day and night. This is an oil filled radiant heater and features air flow through heated fins. This heater also has great safety features including a tip over turn off and also overheat turn off. I noticed it is safe to touch...feels warm not hot. This 1000 watt heater is good for bathrooms or bedrooms and capable of heating up to 160 sq. ft. If you have a cold room, this is a great, economical choice to make it comfortable.

What a difference good design makes! Whenever it gets to be really really cold, I lke to bring out my old trusted oil filled radiator, which I have owned through three moves, but it is getting to be ratty looking, so I jumped when I saw this alternative. The radiator does not look like a radiator, but more like a little sculpture, yet the heat out put is great. I especially like the lower wattage, which amounts to a more then 33 percent saving on electricity compared to my old heater. The unit comes totally assembled, except the stand, which is put together in about 5 Minutes. The instructions were clear and easily understood and I can only say good things about this product!

I was looking for a small heater to use in the bathroom, for those cold mornings when you need just a little more warmth in a small room. This Mill 1000 Watt electric oil-filled radiant portable heater is a sound choice. Its Scandinavian design is far more modern looking than other oil-filled models that look like real radiators, and it takes up a lot less space. The Mill unit is made of metal and has stickers on the sides warning that they get hot and to be careful. After thirty minutes of use I carefully touched them and while they were warm, not too hot to touch. However, there are insulated handles that can be safely used to pick up and move. This model can be programmed to change temperatures by day or night, has a timer, switches from Fahrenheit to Celsius, and has three output settings. It is not complicated to set or simply turn off/on when you need to use. My only concern is that if you don't program for continual use it takes a long time to heat up. I tested it by setting it to 79°F in my 8'x6' bathroom that was already 70°F. After 25 minutes, (far longer than my shower) the room had only reached 77°F. Then I realized that it had shut itself off, so I set it to 83° and within 10 minutes it had jumped to 82°F. I did have it set to the highest output levels both times. This unit is very quiet and a change to the output level does not make it any louder. This would make it ideal for use in a nursery, a dorm room, or small studio. I am recommending this product because it provides a warm continuous heat, is well designed, and takes minimal space. Because it is programmable it will meet my short timeline, so it works for me.
