      • Good Sound But Design Issues
      • December 11, 2012

First, for the pros: The sound is excellent with these headphones. They do a good job of blocking outside noise & the audio is rich & crisp. Setting the headphones up to work wirelessly with my ipod touch was a breeze - I charged the headphones and the transmitter for 10-15 minutes each and then setup was completed in less than a minute. The headphones are attractive enough - nothing special, but they're a good size, not overly large & the control buttons are well placed and accessible. Now for the considerable list of cons: Right off the bat, the packaging is a little cheesy - the box has binary code (a string of 0s and 1s) in a wave-like design, seemingly to represent the wireless transmission from the transmitter to the headphones - not nearly as sleek as I would expect for the price point. Once in the box, the user's manual is just a single front & back sheet of paper - VERY basic & kind of cheap looking. The headphones themselves are nice looking... UNTIL you touch them. The outside of the headphones are a sleek, shiny plastic that shows every fingerprint. If that doesn't bother you, then it's not a big deal, but I've found myself regularly trying to wipe off the smudges so it looks clean & sharp again. Also, the ear pieces on the headphones are comfortable, but not well attached. One of mine has fallen off a couple times - they're not hard to put back on, but they don't lock into place, so I foresee it being on ongoing issue. Now, for my biggest con - while the headphones work flawlessly with my ipod, I have yet to get them to work with a computer via the included USB. I was able to successfully sync the headphones with my desktop computer (according to the user's manual it synced - the blue light flashed, then went solid), but alas, there was never any audio from the headphones. I got sound when I plugged the 3.5mm jack into the computer's headphone jack, but I could never get the USB to work. I tried everything in the user's manual, but there really wasn't any solutions for technical difficulties listed. I also couldn't find anything online. I also tried to use the headphones with my Macbook Pro, and alas, they don't seem to be Mac compatible at all - my MacBook says it can't identify the external keyboard & then tries to walk me through a setup wizard. But obviously, since it's a pair of headphones & not a keyboard, I don't get past step 1. So, for now, I will continue to use them on both the computer & my ipod via the 3.5mm transmitter, but I'm HOPING that some day I can figure out the USB & use that on the computer instead since it doesn't have to be recharged like the 3.5mm transmitter does. So, in summary: good audio quality but some design flaws & very little troubleshooting support available.

Pros Great Sound Quality Cons attracts fingerprints, not mac compatible, no troubleshooting support
