More than an auto drip, the KitchenAid Pour Over Coffee Brewer combines the flavor and control of the manual pour-over process with 1-Touch convenience. By implementing small differences to the brew cycle and careful attention to detail, the Pour Over Coffee Brewer can produce a fully infused cup that showcases all of your coffee's subtle and bold flavors. The water is heated to a precise 200°F (the center of the ideal 195°-205° range), and it's heated just above the grinds in order to minimize heat loss. And, unlike drip coffee makers that continuously flood the brew basket, the new KitchenAid Pour Over Coffee Brewer first wets the grinds, then waits. This pause allows the grounds to “bloom" before brewing with timed pulses of water, in the same manner as the manual pour-over process. There are 1-Touch settings that will orient the brew cycle for medium or dark roasts, and a progress indicator lets you know the status of the brew.
