A: The V-4500 casement sized to actual frame dimensions of 29.5" wide by 35.5" high will have clear opening dimensions of 17.8" wide by 30.3" high with the standard hinge and 22.2" wide by 30.3" high with the maximum opening hinge. Neither configuration meets egress requirements.

really love this window. After 20 year of a kitchen casement fixed window I finally found this one close to the original window size. Just a few inches wider and taller than the original window. Once the window jam and opening was prepared the window went right in. Took a little extra time to make sure it's square. Worked great. Open's and closes fine. My family loves being able to open a window in the kitchen. Took a while (3 weeks) to get the window delivered but only about 3 hours by myself to install it. If I do this again I'll get a helper. It should go faster with help. The Home Depot contributor badge lists me as a Pro. But I'm not a professional in this field. I'm an IT guy for a small company. DIY would be the better badge.

The purchase was for 4 windows. The units were shipped in very sturdy containers, they came undamaged. The installation was uneventful, the exact way you want it. These casement windows are such a vast improvement over the original aluminium sliders, it is no comparison. We are very pleased with the Jeld-Wen product and plan to purchase again.

Window came with black marks and gouges all over the frame. Packaging was immaculate, so window left the factory like this. Jeld-Wen's customer service only resolution was to wait 3 more weeks for another. They were also quite rude. Returned the window to Home Depot.
