Not just another pretty face, our sliding mirror closet doors are 3/4 in. PlyCorr (a densely corrugated cardboard that performs like wood without the added weight) with the mirror laminated directly to the surface. Other mirror doors are simply mesh backed mirror in a lightweight frame. In 1957, when our doors with ball bearing rollers and low profile threshold first hit the market it quickly became the top choice for Manhattan developers and architects alike. From Turner Construction when they built the Hofstra Dormitories to HRH Construction when they built the Trump Towers, developers continue to purchase our Impact Plus bi-fold and sliding doors. They are the perfect marriage of beauty and safety.

If you are looking for a better than average contemporary mirrored sliding closet door this may be the one for you. I wanted a door with minimum frame showing on the face, no beveled edges and one that had something other than paper backing for the mirrors to give the door a bit more rigidity and solid feel. This is the only door that I could find that fit the bill.
Was a bit of an ordeal getting ordered as the factory was apparently overwhelmed with orders and had pulled the item from the Home Depot site. After a few emails / weeks however it was put back on line and I was able to place the order.
The door was wrapped well and arrived without any apparent damage from the truck. Once the package was opened however there were a couple of scratches on the mirror (I think they may have come from metal shavings in the packaging perhaps left over when the metal frames were cut in the factory). Not enough damage to warrant trying to return ship, however it was disappointing. If I had been able to buy the door at a Home Depot store (you cannot) I would not have bought a door with these scratches. Such is the problem with ordering on line. Installation was very easy. Nice low profile floor track.
The other complaint is about the shipping company Home Depot uses. If you look at on line reviews of this shipping company I have never seen a company with such negative reviews. I have no idea why Home Depot continues to use them. My only complaint with them however is the shipping company was to call the day before to advise of the delivery. They did not and just showed up. If I hadn't been home at the time I suppose I would have found the door lying in the front yard.
All in all, a nice contemporary door for the price. Just wish I could have bought it in the store.
