We have 20 foot ceiling in our family room, and in a separate lounge/dining area. The previous homeowner had 2 totally different fans. So we replaced both of the old fans with these 72" Kensgrove Brushed Nickel fans. We absolutely love them. It has made the house look so "up to date". And they really work great, and move a ton of air with barely a whisper. Even the highest speed is very quiet, other than the whoosh of the air itself. The LED is also pretty bright, and dims nicely. I we will appreciate being able to reverse the fan direction in winter, using the remote; no need to climb a ladder. Here are some tips... First, the included remotes are a bit cheapo looking. But I discovered that you can get a "wall control" type remote to replace the light switch. This looks so much better. You can still use a handheld remote as well, and have the best of both worlds. The remote you want is called "DC-WALL" from Craftmade. It comes with white, almond and black covers, to match your decor. Search online and you can find it. You can also pay a few bucks extra to get a combo package that includes the wall remote, and a handheld remote, with a black, soft texture finish, that looks MUCH better than the remote that comes with the fan. I didn't get the extra handheld though, since we really have no need for it. But if this is going in a bedroom, I'd get the combo with the black remote. Second tip. I mentioned our super high ceilings. A ladder wasn't going to cut it. We found out we could rent an "aerial lift" from a local equipment rental store. It just rolls around, and has outriggers for stability. It can lift a single person about 14' in the air, allowing them to work on up to 21' ceilings. Pretty cheap (under a hundred bucks) to rent it for 24 hours. Third tip. If you have more than one fan, you may want to change the dip switches in the remote, so that the remotes don't conflict with each other. On the other hand, if you want to control more than one fan with a single remote, you can do that too. You can also use more than one remote on the same channel to control a single or multiple fans. Very flexible. To sync a remote, there's nothing to change on the fan itself, only on the remote. Just remove the battery cover, set the DIP switches to any of 16 channels, turn the fan off, then back on, press and hold the "SET" button next to the battery until the LED light flashes twice. Wait about 6 minutes while the fan "calibrates" (runs full speed for 3 minutes one direction, then 3 the other). Once it finishes, you're all set. Now if you want other remotes on the same channel, just set the DIP switches... no need to sync each remote for that fan. But if you want several fans on the same channel, you just need to sync any remote on the same channel to the additional fan(s). Last tip. Most of the websites I searched, show the recommended fan height to be 8' from the floor. Even with high ceilings, they recommend ridiculously long downrods. We used a 6' downrod with our 20' ceilings, so the fans are at about 13' to 14' (taking into account motor and light). And the other fans in our house are set to around 9' to 10'. In my opinion, this shows off the higher ceilings better than putting the fans at 8'. All in all, this is an incredible fan. It is a shame they recently increased the price a bit. But it is still a great value, and half the price of the Craftmade version. Enjoy!

Pros Functional, Well Made, Unique, High Quality of Material, Fast / Speed, Lots of Features, Eco-Friendly, Looks Great, Stylish, Nice Design Cons out of stock frequently, included remote is a bit cheap looking
