I didn’t have time to shop for a nice mini-pendant so I bought these cheap ones - and they are cheap in every sense of the word. It’s hard to tell from the photo, but the down rod is not a rod of matching material. That wasn’t terribly surprising, but the plastic cord itself is clear rather than matching the light fixture. I’m OK with that, but some folks may not like the aesthetic of seeing the internal wire through the clear cover. The other cheap part is the bulb itself, which is not hidden within the fixture and protrudes slightly. It also appears to be non-replaceable so be prepared to buy a whole new fixture if it fails - and if Hampton Bay no long makes this unit, you’ll need to replace off of these with new units. However, they work well enough for my purpose of a temporary light until I can find a nicer one. I will say that the light quality is good and they are dimmable, which makes them a good value for the price.

For the price it is not a bad light. Everything about this light is just average, and for the price average is a good thing. This is probably a three star light but the price is right and for the price it's a good light. At first glance, I open the box and the light is is very small. I would compare the pendant to the size of a pear, maybe a little smaller. The finish looks good unless you focus on it, and then you can see it's not as high end looking up close. The light be a little brighter. All in all, it is exactly what it says it is. I you are looking for a small pendant that will not kill your budget than this should do just fine. If you need to buy multiple pendants then you know the cost can add up fast.

This is a nice little pendant light. It comes with good instructions and is easy to install. The wire supports the pendant and supplies the electricity to the light. The top mounting plate covers the ceiling mounting plate adequately. It was not trouble mounting the the light. I highly recommend this product for over a kitchen or dining island. It works great.

It's made cheap.
