A: Hello Carolyn, thank you for your inquiry. Our goal is to answer your question earnestly. The base of the umbrella does have the upper and lower brackets with the X framework. However, this umbrella was designed with the outer and middle plastic base covers. These covers are to be filled with sand, sand and water, or just water for the maximum stability of the Umbrella. Should you alter or modify the umbrella or not use it as instructed, this could result in damages and injuries. It could also void out any warranty that this umbrella carries. Keep cool

Yes, the dog days of summer are sneaking up on us fast. Are you ready for the heat? If not I recommend getting a big and sturdy umbrella. Its ten foot coverage is plenty big enough to keep you from getting a sunburn or having your ice-cold drink from melting. There was very little assembly , as it came in one great big box. The chili red color looks nice and has matching furniture.

Patio Umbrella

I am loving the Hampton Bay 10 foot Cantilever Square Patio Umbrella in Chili Red. It comes with everything you need to assemble. Assemble was easy with two people and we had in up in less than 30 minutes. The base is in 4 parts and we filled them easily with water. It has a foot pedal to move the umbrella base. The crank lift is easy to lift up and down. The turn crank is easy to turn as well. The umbrella is wide and measures 112 X 112 inches. Covers a large space. Highly recommend.

LOVE this umbrella!

This Aluminum Cantilever Square Offset Patio Umbrella is 10 feet and comes in Chili Red and the base is included. I absolutely love this umbrella! It is huge and covers my outdoor furniture set from the sun completely. The base can be filled with sand or water to keep it upright and the angle of the umbrella can be managed easily in any direction. It is perfect in every way and is easily taken apart for storage.

High quality and functional

The Home Decorators Collection 10 ft. x 10 ft. umbrella is a great product. The umbrella is high quality and heavy in weight. I assumed that assembly would be a task, however it was very easy to get set up. The umbrella is large so having a second set of hands is helpful but not required. The base comes in three pieces and it’s recommended to add sand and water to prevent the umbrella from tipping. It’s is raised with a crank lever system that is very easy to operate. It can also be rotated to ensure your space has the sun protection it needs. The canopy is a nice gray color and is a thick fabric that should hold op against the elements. Overall, I’m very happy with this canopy style umbrella the quality and size are perfect.

Huge, amazing umbrella

This Home Decorators Collection Commercial Aluminum and Steel Cantilever Patio Umbrella has so many great features. Because the umbrella is 10’ x 10’ round, it provides a lot of shade. By holding the pedal down with your foot, it also rotates a full 360 degrees AND by simply pressing a button on the handle, you can adjust the angle of the umbrella. In other words, you can block the sun from every direction and angle to stay comfortable in the summer heat. It folds down easily, it rests against the pole and is secured with a Velcro strap. It was easy to put together too, although it helps to have 2 people to assemble it. The base (which is 4 separate pieces) is filled with sand and water, or just water to give the umbrella stability. You should assemble the entire umbrella close to where you will want to use it because it is very heavy to move with the sand and/or water in the base. The color of the umbrella is a medium gray. The quality of the entire umbrella is very good, it’s well-made, attractive and provides shade where you need it !

What an amazing and huge umbrella. Super easy setup and works great. It was almost level with my roof so it kind of feels like a lanai. The color is nice and matches my other outdoor furniture. I really like how it’s easy to use. You just use one lever to raise and lower and the other to open the umbrella. Just lift and spin. I want to get another one for the front of my house over the car!

Perfect for providing protection from Rain and Sun while….

The 10x10 FT Cantilever Patio umbrella is the PERFECT accessory for any home that outdoor activities on the deck. This is our second offset umbrella so we understood the importance of having one and the benefit that goes with getting protection from the elements. We have our umbrellas on the back deck extending over my three grills. I permits me to be outdoor for cooking whether it’s blazing hot or raining. The big difference between this one and my first purchase is the quality of the umbrella fabric. This time it seems thinner, but is Acrylic and made by Sunbrella; which makes Premium fabrics. So, I expect it will hold up well as our first one is going on 5 years. Also note that It is Weather Resistant, but not Waterproof. We love the fact the umbrella rotates much easier with this one. The umbrella extends easy with push button locking and rotates to provide protection has the sun moves over the area. All of the components are extremely well made (no cheap plastic parts) and assembly was relatively easy – 2nd person may be needed if you are unable to lift 50 or so lbs. Perfect for any outdoor setting. Love it!

Versatile and Great Looking Umbrella!

This Umbrella is extremely well designed and very versatile in every aspect. The most difficult part of the entire assembly process was filling the four base section with sand. I used 300lbs of multipurpose sand without any water as in Phoenix, the water would have evaporated in any event. The 300lbs should have no problem keeping this umbrella in place even during our windy monsoon season. There aren’t many other parts for this umbrella and even though all the tools were included it was much easier to install with a rachet with hex sockets. The first location we selected didn’t work as expected so we had to move it over about 6 feet. Because the base is 4 section it was easy to take the base off, relocated it and then put the base section back together. There umbrella swivels 360° with a simple press on the pedal at the base of the pole and a twist to any position you needed. You can also tip this umbrella at several different angles using the handle and slide system by pressing the button on the handle. Once we had this all together and opened you will find some more protection packing materials on the underside of the umbrella that needs to be removed. Entire assembly took about 2 hours, including filling the four base section with sand. I would recommend this umbrella both on its look and versatility!

We should have bought this a long time ago. Awesome umbrella

The fabric is a neutral color that blends with anything and everything. The stand is a dark brown and the base pieces are black. It all goes together with our patio furniture and looks great. The assembly couldn't have been any easier. The provided 4 screws are all you need to assemble it. Put the cross pieces onto each other and run in 2 screws. That's it. Next fill the 4 plastic bases with sand or water. If you use water and live in a freezing area, be sure to add anti-freeze to avoid ice expanding and rupturing the base pieces. The four pieces lay on top of the cross pieces and that's done. Insert the pole with the foot pedal than screw it all together and snap on the trim ring and insert the umbrella. That's where the other screws get used. After that it's ready to use. It opens and closes very easily and smoothly. Simply step on the foot pedal and rotate it where you want. Release the pedal and it locks firmly into place. The umbrella is huge at 10 feet! You can partially open it too. Set it where you want it. Overall it's a great umbrella with simple assembly and easy to use features

Fantastic addition to our patio

We wanted some shade for our hot Texas summers but wanted something with some flexibility. This umbrella set does the trick. It is very well designed and constructed. The components are heavy and sturdy. I had a glitch trying to figure how to bolt the rotating section to the base. You have to rotate it 45 degrees to access the bolts. Easy! The weighted section is great that comes in 4 pieces. I put 50 pounds of sand in each one and the handles make the individual 50 pound sections easier to move. The umbrella extends easily and can be rotated to screen the moving sum as the day goes on. A great patio mainstay.
