Q:The two most important questions about a spring after it's physical size are what is the maximum stroke and the spring rate (lb/in or N/m or kg/m). WHY don't you put these on the label??? Does anyone know the max stroke spring rate?
by|May 5, 2018
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  As to the max stroke spring rate for this product, it is 0.318. L0/L1=419/1315.7=0.318, L0: the original length of the spring, L1: the max extension length of the spring.

I would give it 5 stars, but...
I would give this 5 stars. It's really a good spring. But why in the world would they wrap it with the stickiest label known to man. Even after finally getting the label off, the spring is so sticky that it will inevitably look very nasty when stuff clings to it. Why, why, why? Really, why would they do that?

It’s a fine spring however, the way they adhere the label to the spring is a royal pain in the butt to remove, and takes work. Why they have to make it so difficult is anybody’s guess. Good luck!

This extension spring worked perfectly for my application! It helped to read questions asked where I found info not in the product details like maximum rated weight. I bought 2 to use as a counterweight for a hinged attic trap door.
