4-1/2 in. Zinc-Plated Latch Post Safety Hasp

This is a great shed, access panel, door hasp for many general applications. It does differ slightly from the photo ( in a good way in my opinion) in that the non hinged side swivels to hold the gasp closed without the need for a carabiner, lock, or as I end up using because I lose my carabiners, a stick. The black finish is rust resistant and looks great with almost any color building and the matching black screws are a welcome addition. I have used this hasp for many applications and will continue to do so in the future.

I needed a locking latch to secure the door of a storage shed to keep my tools from growing legs and walking off. This Everbilt 4 1/2 inch Black Latch has done the job perfectly. It's solidly made, attractively finished, and installs and operates easily. In place, it should be resistant to all but the most vigorous efforts to pry it open. A very nice product, and I recommend it!

This is a well made latch, i would say medium/heavy duty. Its a little stiff at fist but frees up with just a little use. Im not sure what the finish is, painted or a ceramic coating but looks nice. It also came with all the hardware required to install and was easy to install. While there is no such thing as burglar proof this will be good deterrent.

This latchpost hasp is definitely not a “heavy duty” piece of hardware. It is light duty for sure. The metal is thin, and I have serious concerns about how this will fare out in the elements. The fit and finish is not great; there is some paint missing, exposing bare metal. I anticipate only getting one season out of this before it gets all rusty.

I ordered this Everbilt 4 1/2" safety hasp to be installed on a storage shed on my property. It has an attractive black finish and it is constructed from pretty thick metal stock. Matching screws are included. You can either turn the loop on the base plate to secure it or you have the option of using a padlock to make it more secure. The way it's designed all 7 attachment screws are covered when it's closed making it impossible for a thief to unscrew them.

This is a good locking system to secure our gate and it was fairly easy to install. I did find that I needed to swap out one section of the screws as they were just a tad too long and would have gone through the boards on the gate. The latch can be secured with a padlock (not included with this package). It just adds another level of security to protect our family.

nice , simple way to help secure items around the home or shop so less likely to have stolen but this product will not prevent items from theft, just helps secure them so less likely stolen. I like that this product is very simple to attach to just about any shed or door or even a container in or on a vehicle so less likely items in container or building is stolen.

This Everbilt Black Latch Post Hasp has a nice finish black finish and looks great with the gate hardware offered at your local Home Depot store. The black finish resists rust and will look great for years to come. Easy to install and there are instructions on the back of the package. Installation is simple, you just need a Phillips #2 screwdriver. It would be best to predrill the screw holes first to prevent splitting the wood. Use a 7/64 Drill bit to predrill the holes and a number 2 Phillips screwdriver to install the seven screws.

Screws for installation are also included. To add to security all screws are concealed when the hasp is closed. The rotating post will keep the hasp secured, yet allows easy entry when unfettered access is allowed. The post will accept a padlock to prevent unauthorized access when necessary. To me this appears to be a well made product.
