Everbilt makes a LOT of condensate pumps. This one is good for nearly any domestic application, especially if you need a high-water cut-off to avoid flooding. In most uses, the capacity (GPH) is not an issue. A/C, dehumidifiers, and condensing furnaces do not make water all that fast. The Lift can be an issue since you are probably forcing water uphill. In water-pumps, high lift is low flow. This model is rated for 20 feet of Lift absolute maximum. You can't really lift that high and get the job done. However most applications need less than 10 foot of lift. My cellar is under 8 feet floor to sill. At this Lift I get about half of the maximum GPH, which is still far more than my furnace or A/C can drip, so it pumps-out its bucket fast and stays quiet most of the time. Condensate pumps have a hard life and do fail. When they fail, the overflow can soak whatever is underneath or around the pump. I don't need a puddle in my cellar. If my pump were upstairs, as in many attic HVAC installations, I sure would not want water coming through a drywall ceiling. So most condensate pump installations should have a second float, above the main float, to switch when water level is "too high" (pump has failed). Some pumps have the switch and two wires you have to cobble-up to your system cut-off or alarm. This particular model not only has a high-water switch, it has a neat wiring package, and LEDs to tell you the status: got power, pumping, or Alarm. Not much use when the system is happy, but VERY helpful when something goes wrong. Ample grunt, nice features, nice case, nice price, good deal.
