Spray Station 1900 HVLP Paint Sprayer

Great for a budget minded consumer looking to knock out a home improvement project without spending a lot of time or money. I paid well under $100 for mine to include shipping and it's held up great through 3 medium size rooms and going strong. I've been using an inexpensive off-white matte latex contract grade paint. The paint seems to work best when thinned down 1 part water to 4 parts paint. It's very forgiving for a novice such as myself. I'm not a pro by any means. I bought this to give my interior walls a clean base coat of paint in preparation to put my condo on the market, and it's helped out tremendously. To be honest I'm not sure how anyone could expect it to perform better for the cost. It takes down real easy for cleanup, seems to give a nice consistent coat of even spray, works well at almost any angle when the reservoir is full and cuts down on time by at least half when compared to brush and rollers. If I had to write something that could be improved upon I suppose it would be the length of the power cord (6') and the noise. An extension is almost always necessary. But again, the cord could be 12' long and I'd still use an extension for convenience. As for the noise I'd be curious to know the Db level on this little fella. That turbine motor really screams! .... I would almost recommend ear plugs. I'll just chalk that up to the amount of power they were able to pack into the units blower. Overall it's a great little machine that works as advertised and for a reasonable price. My plan is to finish my condo interior and move on to the garage and exterior fence with some deck stain. After that I'll just keep putting paint through it until I run out or it breaks. My guess is I'll run out of projects long before the sprayer kicks the paint bucket.

I definitely needed to run water through it after each jar of paint to cut clogs. Also needed to cut the paint about 20% to thin it. But by the time I got through the first half can I became more practiced and competent. I would recommend it as inexpensive with the understanding that extra steps will need to be taken for success.

The turbine works great. The gun, not so much. I purchased this to spray latex paint. I followed the instructions to a t. No matter how low or high I set the pressure, it has a lot of spatter. I thinned the paint down so it ran out of the cup within the time frame according to the manual. No luck. So I cleaned everything very thoroughly and tried again at a thinner viscosity. Same results. I tried a couple more times and finally gave up. One of the things I noticed is the air passage on the gun seemed somewhat deformed causing the spray pattern to be lopsided. I didn’t attempt to fix it, I ended up returning it to the store.

Made refinishing the deck a breeze. No brushing, done in a few hours.

Worked great for little project ie doors, base board's and trim have not done any big projects like walls but I think will work great too.

Very easy to assemble. I have used it to paint 400 feet of outdoor wooden fence. It is perfect. Don't think it is powerful enough or precise enough for indoor walls or anything like that, but it is fabulous for outdoor projects. I used a water clean up paint, so it was very easy to clean afterwards. Lightweight and actually fun to use. Did a really nice job on the fence.
