Good product, compared to other crack fillers, but is not fast nor easy to use. Here's some suggestions on use. 1) For smaller cracks, cut in half. Do this with large sissors but do so when the product is cool otherwise it will stick to your tools. 2) Clean/prep the crack. Use a screw driver and, seldom, a grinder with a stone cutting wheel, if necessary, but avoid widening the crack too much. Brush out thorougly or use a shop vac (vac is best). 3) Follow the crack. Hand push the rope into the crack as much as possible. Use a hammer to semi-flatten the rope into the crack. This will help with both positioning and more uniform melting. 4) In wide areas of the crack, cut off additional small pieces of the rope to add to the original piece in order to increase the melt volume. 5) On slopping areas, cut a piece, extending above the crack, to use as a dam. Partially melt to stick, then melt the rope behind it. Allow the material above the dam to cool then melt the dam to a uniform level. 6) Use a medium flame and don't try to melt more than 6" at a time - take your time. Overflows should be feathered at the edges using the torch. 7) If previously filled with a liquid crack patching material, the old material can start to burn/bubble. Wait until coolish and then flatten/readhear with a hammer. 8) Fill remaining low pools by melting additional small pieces into them. Hammer flattened rope will work better here. 9) You have to then seal small cracks with drive sealer in order to prevent water from getting under the now-sealed major cracks. The minor cracks will lead under the crack repair and frost-heaving will undo your efforts.
