About This Product

This traditional matte paint will create a low-reflective appearance that’s perfect for all of your home's rooms. It’s also great for hiding minor flaws, dents and nicks. - Use a high quality 3/8" - 1/2" nap roller cover, nylon/polyester brush or airless sprayer (.015" - .019" spray tip, 60 mesh filter)
- Use BEHR ULTRA paint as a primer for properly prepared uncoated or painted interior surfaces, including woods that contain tannins (two primer coats required for redwood and cedar) and heavily stained areas. For heavy stains, test for stain bleed-through by applying BEHR ULTRA as a topcoat to a small section. If bleeding continues, a longer dry time is needed before top coating.
- Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 50-90°F (10-32°C). Darker colors may require additional dry time between coats. Cooler temperatures or higher humidity may prolong drying time

Great paint!
Painted my living room and hallway with the flat Scuff Defense. Goes on smoothly, covered spackled areas nicely. Will do the bedroom next.

Best Latex wall paint

Clients always ask which paint is best, I always use Behr Ultra premium. It covers well and keeps it lustre for a very long time, it’s durable and affordable. The colors are amazing and the paint full of sealer which gives good protection from elements and normal wear and tear. Highly recommend this product over any other latex paint.

Great coverage.

Best paint ever!

Great coverage
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried tons of paints, but always go behr when i need quality paint. I prefer matte paint, but traditionally it's not very durable. Not the case with this paint, i used it for my kitchen walls and my cabinets and it's holding up great!

Why Discontinue Matte Base 1750??
Why would you discontinue this paint. It provides a wonderful finish and is easily cleaned. Just started a project with it 3 weeks ago and now it can’t be found in any stores. Associates should have told me it would be discontinued soon and quantities would be limited. Very disappointed.

Our Ultra Interior Matte has been replaced with our Ultra Scuff Defense which will offer the same coverage and stain-blocking abilities; however, it will dry to an even more durable finish. Our Ultra Scuff Defense will dry to a slightly flatter finish, so we recommend continuing your project with our Marquee Interior Matte which will provide an identical sheen to our Ultra Interior Matte. Great paint for a wall mural
