- On semi-smooth surfaces, use a high quality 3/8 in. - 1/2 in. nap roller cover, nylon/polyester brush or an airless sprayer (0.015 in. - 0.021 in. spray tip, 60 mesh filter). On rough surfaces, use a high quality ¾ in. - 1 in. nap roller cover
- Use BEHR ULTRA Paint as a primer for repaired or uncoated surfaces, including woods that contain tannins (two primer coats required for redwood and cedar) and heavily stained areas. Lock in stains with the first primer coat; if necessary, apply a second primer coat of BEHR ULTRA Paint
- Apply product on dry substrates when air and surface temperatures are between 35°-90°F (2°-32°C) and will remain between 35°-90°F (2°-32°C) for at least 4 hours after applying

Ruined by Water
Unfortunately we had a surprise rainfall within 24 hours of application, although product says "rain resistant after just 60 minutes", we ended up with huge water bubbles trapped in the paint. We applied a high quality Zinsser primer to our metal building first. Used a paint sprayer to apply the paint, worked beautifully. No problems with actual application whatsoever. This is the first time anything like this has ever happened. Building is water tight. Still getting new bubbles months later.

Behr Paint Covers Well and Requires Less Paint to Coat Surface Thoroughly
Painted fascia, soffit and other wood areas of several homes. Behr paint covered extremely well and we needed a lot less paint than originally estimated. We have 3 rental properties as well as our own home and have painted all of them using Behr. Each time we found we needed a lot less paint to cover well. On our home we've had the paint on for 3 years and it has held up very well, held its white color (no fading or yellowing) and protected the wood. On rental homes it soaked into wood, protecting it well, and we anticipate not requiring a new paint job for around 10 years. We are very pleased with Behr and always use it on our properties. The color doesn't seem to fade or change color as so many paints do. We've just repainted a home where another product turned from brown to lavender - not what you probably want on your home unless you're "into" pinks and purples. We use Ultra to get the primer and color mix; it's only a little more and saves money in the future when we don't have to repaint as soon.

My first use
I used this to cover my front door. The coverage is smooth and pure. No bleeds it doesn’t run. The door was hand painted, no paint sprayer. Totally recommend for your diy job.
