Q:Please clarify; are these solid red oak wood or glued together junk with red oak veneer? Your description states these solid red oak stair treads will match... and then later says something about them having 1/8 th inch veneer red oak. So which is it?

Stair treads- well designed and well built product. I used these to replace the carpet on my stairs. The layers are bonded very well. I have had made complicated cuts, angles and curves without any worries of the wood separating. All the pieces I have selected were straight and true.
No issues with this product and I would definitely recommend to anyone who Is thinking of using them. Reasonable cost also.

These steps are of very sturdy construction. The thing that most appeals to me about the steps is that the veneer gives the appearance of one piece of oak. Steps from competitors are pieces that are glued together but also have the appearance of pieces glued together - which is not something I care for. The Evermark treads look like one piece of oak with a bullnose front. More appealing in my opinion.

Hi Furion65, thank you for your detailed endorsement. To build on your comments, the veneer of which you speak is re-sawn red oak that is 1/8 in. thick, all coming from the same piece of wood. So you'll get similar grains, consistent color matching, and a much-more even appearance once they're finished. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

I actually used these stair treads for shelves in my kitchen. They are sturdy, and nicely made with beautiful oak grain. They took up stain very well and the quality made product did not disappoint when I cut them to fit my project. Well made.
I will go back to purchase one to replace a stair tread that is wearing.
