WASTED TIME AND LOST MONEY IN HOME DEPOT (WARRENTON STORE)
I have been a Home Depot customer for a long time, so I got a new house and my husband and I decided to decorate our house with a Home Depot store (first time in Warrenton store) but is incredible that 6 people in the store don't know how can sale us blinds for my patio door and basement. On the first day suppose to be the specialist person in the blinds was not there, but the person who was there told me that the specialist would call me the next day. nobody called me, so we decided to go for the 2nd time and we paid for the measurement. and again they told me that somebody we call me back for the measurement appointment and again nobody called us, it was incredible and we decided to go to the store again, so after 2 weeks they finally came to my house, so I was happy to have it finally, so when I decided to buy the blinds nobody in the store knew how to do this transaction, so and the 4 visit to the store again they can not do it the transaction they told me that somebody will call me, (again not body did it) finally, the manager "JC" decided to help us but when I showed her my 35% discount she told me I sorry but your coupon is expired!!! it's not our fault the coupon has expired because I tried to buy my blinds 3 weeks ago. Due to luck a training I wasted time and lost money !!!!!

          Don't shop at the Warrenton, VA store
          Lack of experienced associates. And at self checkout I was accused of not paying because of doing more than one transaction. I have multiple projects that need to be billed to the appropriate cost centers. The employee should learn how to speak to a customer before making assumptions.

            I'm not a gardener and I needed help finding potted plants that would survive the winter outdoors. I was lucky to be helped by Andrea who is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to help me select the right plants, soil and mulch needed as well as explain the care the plants need now and what I'll need to do in the spring. I'll definitely be back to get garden and landscaping help from Andrea again! (One star off for the fact that this Home Depot has very dim parking lot lighting and absolutely no lighting at all outside of the garden center. )

              Sales person ordered wrong cabinet and Home Depot would not make good on their error.
              I ordered a kitchen cabinet. The wrong one was ordered. It arrived dirty and scuffed. I returned the cabinet for a refund. When I tried to order the correct cabinet, I was told it was not available. I could though get a higher grade cabinet in the style I wanted for a much higher price. I have wasted three 100 mile round trips.

                Had to return a mini split that was not operational due to no pre charged R410a freon…. Pat at the service counter made a call and a replacement is being delivered to the store in less than a week…. Now that’s service.

                  I now know how.
                  I went in with a vision and came out with the tools to make it happen. I knew what I wanted to make but did not know how to do it then along came Chase. One very helpful and friendly employee whom took the time out to help me find what I needed to make my vision happen. Chase is a craftsman whom took the time out to teach me how to build the table I needed but not sure how to build. Because of Chase I now feel very confident to complete my project.

                          Disappointing store experience
                          I'm pretty unhappy that I need to take the time to write this, but I want to make you aware of a very disappointing experience in the store tonight. On 27 July, I purchased a jug of Olympic deck cleaner SKU 1003422950 (Receipt # 8552-62-56101, Invoice 5624177). I set it on the floor of my SUV, and it tipped over while driving, spilling about 6 ounces of a highly caustic bleach solution on my floormat. Luckily, it was a good one, and I'm not aware of any damage to my car. I stopped in last night, explained the situation to ASM Jimmy, and showed him a picture. I wanted him to know the caps were loose on this caustic product so other customers would not have a similar experience. While there, I tested a few other jugs and found at least one with a loose cap. Regardless, I purchased a replacement jug along with another $1,100 of merchandise (your invoice 8552 00002 07639). Jimmy took my information and I've already spoken with your third-party resolution folks and let them know I don't think I have enough damage to file a claim. I returned the original jug tonight. If I have the original receipt, it's buried in the back of my SUV, so I printed out the online record (I am a HD Pro customer and former associate). For some reason, your service desk associate could not process the return without the original receipt, and processing it with my HD credit card returned the lower price I paid last night (I had a 10% off coupon). I explained that I thought I should be credited what I paid for the defective product, and she reached out to the MOD, your Customer Experience Manager, XXXXX. I explained that I wanted to be refunded the $17.88 I paid for the defective product I returned. She assured me she could only refund $16.09, the price I paid last night. When I challenged her, she said "I can't open a register and give you money." I assured her I only wanted a credit on my HD card, but she was quite firm, and decided to go to the mat over the $1.79 difference, stating there was nothing she could do. At this time, I advised that there was certainly more she could do, but she was choosing not to, and let her know I was not having a good customer experience. She said "Take it to Customer Experience." I did. I was stunned. I'm still stunned that a senior associate would choose to alienate a customer over a $1.79 issue. It demonstrates poor judgement and it seems your associates should choose their battles more carefully.

                                We needed 2 x 4 x 8 pressure treated lumber. The only boards down were junk and all employees refused to pull another pallet down untill the junk ones were gone. Why would we pay $5.48 a board for junk ports. Completely unwilling to help customers

                                  I went to the store because found a laser level I needed was in stock at the Warrenton store. To my surprise the price at the store did not match the price the store had on the Home Depot App (the ad didn’t indicate was an online special) I approached one lady by the cashiers and ask her if they would be able to match the price advertised online, the rudely said no and turn around and later added that if I want it at that price I would have to buy it online and pick it up tomorrow. The online price and in store price was less than $10 difference, but that’s not the point, I don’t think that it’s the way a customer should be treated. I am a PRO consumer at Home Depot and spend thousands of dollar there every year and this kind of behavior makes me want to go to a competitor instead.

                                                Fantastic Service!
                                                My favorite employee Mr. Joe Bob introduced me to another star in the store by the name of David. I bought about $5k worth of cabinets and appliances from him because I trust him as he new his stuff. I now want to vote for Joe Bob for President and David for Vice President. They actually know what they are doing unlike career politicians.

                                                    Just what I needed at 6am in the morning!
                                                    I had a plumbing problem under the kitchen sink and needed to turn the water off to the entire house overnight. I got up to be at the HD store when it opened at 6 am and your friendly staff greeted me, listened to my problem and showed me a simple solution. It was great!

                                                          All Departmental Sales Associates need to know full procedures
                                                          I purchased a Natural Gas Range on 12/31/2021. Included in the purchase price was an installation fee. When the Delivery Supervisor called to review the delivery procedures, I was informed that the drivers could not install the range because Virginia State Law required a Licensed Plumber to provide installation. I was not told that in the store; in fact, the Sales Associate told me that the delivery team would unpack the new range, uninstall the old range, install the new range, and haul off the old range. That is not the procedure at all. Delivery first followed by a plumber followed by a second visit of the delivery team to haul off the old appliance. Neither sales associate I talked with knew this entire procedure and the SA I spoke with today said that Home Depot does not provide installation services on Natural Gas appliances.
