Had an old truck key and was so worried it would break or get lost and needed copies made, and Allan was able to jump into action and help save my day by creating five copies for family and backups forever as this 20+ year old truck is running strong. But Allan was busy up high on orange stairs and just hopped down and quickly got 5 keys grounded out to perfection! That machine was pretty cool, and Allan rocked it quickly style! It was a Sunday and busy and Allan was crazy busy but still went outta his way to get these keys made. Thanks again, Allan!

I really love the way Olympic Elite Natural Tone looks on this redwood deck I built. Home depot always has what I need when it comes to good products. I'll be back for more materials tomorrow!

When a person comes in to a store to buy large appliances it’s usually because it’s an emergency and not having items in the store is a major problem. I will not be using Home Depot in the future for major appliances they won’t meet your needs. Especially when you pay for installation and they tell you they don’t install gas dryers (but they install the washer ( super easy) but then I have to use all kinds of adapters for the supplied gas line which didn’t have what I needed. And they sent a washer supply hose for the steam connection on the dryer that was bent and would not thread onto the male part of the ( Y ) connection. I had to drive to the Home Depot at 9:00 pm 20 miles away from my house to get a new supply line and pay again for it as they would not replace it ( because the lady who handles this works the next morning) don’t bother with Home Depot you’ll spin your wheels

I had a couple of things I needed to find and Blake happened to be working in various aisles and was very helpful in finding the items that I needed.

Tonight I lost my recipe for a business purchase at Home Depot in San Luis Obispo. The young college student, Luis, was extremely helpful. He made a frustrating mistake into a pleasant encounter!!!

It is a well-managed, smoothly run store, with neat displays, helpful staff, and user friendly layout. I always enjoy shopping there.

The nice lady at customer service was able to help me with my online order, it was a bit of a complicated situation but she got through it and was able to help me complete my order, fingers crossed my order show up before I leave!

I frequent Home Depot but do not.live in SLO so usually visit the one closer to my house. I happened to be in SLO today and the experience at the SLO Home Depot was far superior! Very clean, super helpful and knowledgeable staff, well stocked. It was great. I'll definitely change my errands routine so I can visit here again.

During the rain, the lumber area employees helped take down a whole bunch of redwood and load it into my trailer. Very helpful people and the wood was great quality.

Always have a good selection of product.

We went to Home Depot to pick up a refrigerator and a few other smaller things. When we got to check out our card declined. I was so embarrassed. I couldn’t understand why the card wouldn’t work. Michelle was helping us and reassured us everything was fine and to try again. It declined again. She advised us to call the number and make sure our card was okay. She was super kind and professional, no judgment. I ultimately found out our cards had been replaced and the ones we had on our persons were no longer valid. But I was so thankful for Michelle and how she handled the entire situation.

Brian, cashier in charge, has very bad attitude and is definitely unhelpful. He’s in a leadership position? C’mon Home Depot, you can do better.

I've shopped a lot of different hardware and lumber stores, but the SLO Home Depot has them all beat. I never have any problems finding what I need. But what makes this Home Depot stand out, is the employees. If I seem to be looking for something, they're right there to help before I even know I need help. Sometimes I have questions about a problem I'm having on a project, and they will spend as much time as necessary to help me. And what I think shows real character, if they don't have an answer, they take me to someone who can help me. SLO Home Depot always has my part, but it's the employees that bring me back!!

I bought a Ryobi power washer. Long story short, the tool was not functional out of the box. No matter what I did, the sprayer seemed broken and unable to be assembled correctly. I don't fault Home Depot or Ryobi as sometimes that happens. That said, when I went to return the used (but defective) tool, I was initially told it couldn't be returned because it was used. After explaining my plight to Rae and Sandra, they took pity on me and allowed me to return the item as a one-off. This was WONDERFUL to me and really saved future business with this home depot. I would recommend promoting them or giving some sort of positive recognition.

I always get great customer service in the San Luis Obispo store

July 26 we ordered and pre-paid a security door, it’s hardware and touch-up paint. We were told the store would notify us when it arrived. They never got in touch, three weeks later, on line, we learn that the order was in. Today, picking up the door, we’re informed that the hardware set (we’d paid for) and the paint had been : “lost”, no effort was made to get a replacement hardware set so we could hang the door. The manager of the department conveniently went to lunch, and after fa 2 hour wait, we gave up, left her a note and now have to return tomorrow to at least get reimbursed for what had to be purchased as well as find out how some more touch-up paint can be re-ordered

The purchase of a refrigerator in-store was cancelled in favor of an online purchase of a different refrigerator from Home Depot. There was no communication from Home Depot to indicate that the charge for the cancelled item would, or had been, be reversed. It has been 19 days since the cancellation and the refund has not been credited to my credit card account. Unacceptable!
