Every staff person I encountered at this location were extremely helpful and welcoming. I didn't think that this level of customer service existed anymore. Kudos to the staff. Store is also well-stocked and had everything I needed for large painting project.

The cashier I dealt with Tamika was so much better than most other HD cashiers. She was polite, fast and knew how to look up items without a sku.

Cortez Tillis has great demeanor and professionalism. He is very warm and greeted me when I came into to the store, attended to my needs and saw that I was able to special order and check out a couple of other items with him. I live 5 min away form this store and upon the next time I saw him in store, he was still friendly and greeted me again. As I was completing my kitchen remodel, there have been others to help me in the plumbing and electrical dept that have greeted me when I come into their dept, been patient with me and understanding as I explain the particular items needed for purchase and helping me choose the most appropriate products.

If you need to grab anything that isn’t self service, shop somewhere else. Requested assistance twice and still never found an associate available to help - gave up after 45 minutes

I went to exchange two out of four chairs with a receipt and the associate wanted me to go home and return all of the chairs before she would exchange two of the exact same chairs. smh

Know what you’re looking for - and Home Depot has it. The plant selection is deep, with lots of selections and the plants are well tended. Every plant purchased at Home Depot has lived and thrived!

Andrew is an outstanding worker at Home Depot. He has a strong work ethic and is always willing to go above and beyond to ensure his customers are satisfied. I recently had the pleasure of working with him and was impressed by his knowledge and expertise. He took the time to listen to my needs and provided me with valuable advice that helped me make an informed decision. His friendly and approachable demeanor made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. Andrew's exceptional service didn't stop there. I purchased an item that needed to be taken off a high shelf. Helpful cashiers paged the department I was in 3 different times and after about 35+ mins of waiting, I just requested a refund and purchased the item at another hardware store.

I usually don't come to this location. I Live in Hayward CA, however I was in the Oakland area and wanted to stop by. I was looking for some tools to redo my backyard. I came across Deon who was ABSOLUTELY amazing!!!! He was so kind and patient with me. I didn't know what I was actually looking for but he was able to help me lay out a plan on what I needed to get when I told him what I was working on. I will be stopping by this location because of Deon's great customers service! Thank you again

Considering the location of the store is not in the best area, that does not effect the wonderful first rate service you get at this store. I had amazing interactions with the employees I encountered and the store had everything I needed. I will recommend this store and will shop here whenever I need home improvement products. Clean, well stocked and helpful staff, what more could you as for? A++++

The cashier at the first register on the right, was busy with her phone and I said excuse me, how much is the Diet Coke? She said the sign's right there. I said the sign is for Orangeade. She said well I don't know. About $6 bucks. I didn't ask her anymore questions because I knew she was mad that I had the nerve to interrupt her while she was on her phone. She wasn't the only employee who was on their phone. Everyone quiet quitting.

Nobody wants to do or find out anything for you. Managers are NEVER on the floor. And they give you the run around until you do things yourself or just leave the store

I went in for a return with a receipt and the item is still in the box. The customer service area was pretty empty and I was the only standing there. Tiffany was standing there busy chatting and laughing with her co-worker. After a good 10 mins she then decided to help me. She right away gave me an attitude. Telling me she doesn’t need to be here, she’s about to slap someone, because she doesn’t feel like to be at work. As a customer I don’t really want to hear all that. If she’s so angry and violence maybe she should work some where else or not working at all. Such a beautiful name with a bad attitude. I would never come back to this place again

I must say this is my neighborhood so to Home Depot every time I enter the store employees always greet me and help me if I have any questions or concerns. This time while visiting the store I checked out at customer service after I picked up my online order by Miss Odilia she was very helpful and nice!! ILL GIVE HER A 8 out of 10 STARS her HARD WORK AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. I’m a very happy camper with Homedepot OAKLAND.

For me, it was the wait time from the moment I grabbed my stuff and had to wait in line. only one cashier at the lumberyard checkout stand, I had to load concrete by hand because they can only use a forklift if purchasing 20 bags or more, i had 18 is what they said. It is what it is....

I've been to this home depot location many times in the past because it's close to where I live . But I have to say with each visit the experience I leave with is worse. Some of the employees either do not want to help or have no clue what you are asking and due to their ego aren't willing to ask another associate for help on their behalf. I have lost track of how many times I have wandered through the store feeling as if I was an employee on my first day without anyone showing me the ropes as I aimlessly struggled to find the item I am looking for. After a while I used the store website to get a better guide of the store. In some cases items aren't in their right location so back to square one. Don’t bother asking about the item when you finally find it, if you are curious how it works or the right accessories to pair with it. Do yourself a favor and watch a few YouTube videos at home alongside the store website to make a more informed decision. If not and you stay in the store too long they will now start to follow you around the store and all of a sudden the help you couldn’t seem to find is looking at you like Big Brother. From employees to distressed looking security guards to an off duty officer but I know I have no desire of doing anything wrong so I use their following me around the store to my advantage. I turn and ask if they can help me. Oh boy If you can see the looks on their faces now. It's now a game of I don’t know or let's walk this way. Now they don't seem to know the code of the padlock and start banging on the lock. I sometimes wonder if I am secretly on the tv show What Would You DO With John Quiñones because there is no way this can be acceptable at a huge retailer like this.

Perla Quezada helped me today and she was AWESOME!! I purchase an appliance and that wasn't even her department but she took the time to help me with my purchase and explained everything clearly.

If you ever find yourself at the Home Depot on High Street in Oakland, look for Antikia if you need top notch service! She’s by far the most knowledgeable! Outside can be a little intimidating with all the homeless and people sadly looking for work. It’s pretty filthy but, mostly VERY sad! My four star rating is all because of Antikia’s above and beyond service!!
