How does truck rental work?
Stop by the N Miami/Biscayne Rental Center to see what trucks are available for rent. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about renting a Load 'N Go flatbed truck, cargo van, or pickup truck. Penske moving truck rentals and moving vans have different rules. You could also visit our truck rental page to see if the vehicle you need is at your store.
How long can I rent a truck?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the documentation before choosing a vehicle.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Make a note of the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
