Im so sick of being told that I have to utilize self check out, it’s been the same Home Depot associate! First experience was in garden, he’s not familiar to me, but each time I decline self check out and patiently wait my turn only to be met with supremely glib comments about how “I” need to get used to it! Many months later here I am today, I pick up pavers that match my driveway out front, find one plant that I wanted and manure, I go to the cashier line and am instructed to use self check out, I decline, the older male Black associate with ‘Veteran’ patch on his left side says “that is all we have here”, a phrase I recall from months ago, I said no, I want assistance from an actual Home Depot associate, one raises her hand I proceed forward the male associate instructs me to go to an unmanned register I decline and advance to a ‘live’ cashier. The cashier was friendly enough, however the image of the paver sign I took wasn’t sufficient for her to find or locate a sku, even though the brand and size were captured, never the less I moved forward with two items and left the pavers, upon concluding my transaction the male associate came over and asked me how I was doing, I said ‘not great’ he made under his breath comments, it was really rude! I don’t know about you, but for me self check out doesn’t work, I prefer not to use it, after all there is no benefit to me, and two other customers needed Home Depot associates to intervene with their transactions. Home Depot, I have been a long time customer, I have a few pennie’s invested in stock but today was just an awful display of the lack of customer service that seems to be the direction you’re going.

My husband came in with this metal piece. He held it up to Joe when he first walked in before my husband could finish explaining Joe said aisle 33. Now my husband can't stop talking about how awesome Joe is.

Loved the experience, they were all so helpful and friendly and fast. I walk out with a smile in my face.

It was Christmas Eve and I needed a tree, but the lot was empty and the associates were sweeping up. I ask it there were any more trees and much to my surprise they had found one out back that still had life in it. The kindness of the employees was tremendous. I thank God for their help and compassion.

Everything is easy to find and the store associates are extremely helpful!! I didn’t plan on it but got a plant after a wonderful conversation with an associate in the garden department.

I was extremely happy with the selection and prices of the cut flowers. The flowers were fresh and neatly displayed.

Bought EVERYTHING I needed in just one trip. AMAZING customer service thanks to Sam, who was knowledgeable, professional, extremely helpful, and hands down made my shopping experience a productive and pleasurable one. I walked out with a cart and flatbed full of items. Lonnie was kind enough to assist my husband and I with loading the car.

We are a volunteer group that plants trees in Venice and surrounds. We shop a lot at Home Depot. We buy soil and soil amendments, worm castings, Neem oil, wood stakes (the flawed ones because we can't afford the perfect ones) and we have bought a pressure washer - thanks to donors and lots of spades, brooms, clippers etc.

I remodeled my kitchen and couldn’t be happier!!

Keep hiring cheerful, knowledgeable employees like Deniz from Gardens. She has that warm, kind voice along with an in depth knowledge of the right tools and equipment for the job! Very excellent employee!

Had a hard time finding a part but employees were super helpful in finding what I was looking for. Great Customer service by Cashier Gwendolyn. Super friendly lady. Just shows that Home Depot cares.

Watch out - they do nothing to police the parking lot and so it turns into a home for under the table workers and food sellers. I don't mind that if it's within range, but when there's 90-100 people, 3--50 trucks that are not there to shop at HD it becomes a PROBLEM.

Salvador was very knowledgeable and pleasant and went the extra mile to help me. He had a great attitude and made me feel like he genuinely cared

I bought an item that rang up wrong at check out. They immediately corrected my charge and took the extra step to correct the floor stock label to ensure the next customer didnt have an error also.

Bought six cameras and had to come back to return them because they weren’t connecting to my wifi. Returned for $262 on a store cc. Since this store didn’t have the wyze cameras I wanted to get in stock, they sent me to another home depot (jefferson blvd). I end up having to pay for the wyze cameras at the Second store with my debit card bc the store cc was pulled up only having $21 on it. This store told me to go back to the first store(playa vista) and check with them about this issue, there was nothing they could do on their end. I go back to the playa vista location and the cashier at the customer service said the card does have the $262 amount. So to just get rid of the cc card (bc originally i was going to use the store cc to buy my cameras) i wanted to return the cameras i bought with my debit card and buy it back with the store cc. The manager rudely interrupted my transaction, stated I won’t get my full amount back on my debit card because the cameras are cheaper at their store(but they dont even have them in stock). So if i were to return the cameras, i dont get a full refund(even though i just bought them). I’m not understanding how that works and he dismisses me with a “i have a store to close” even though it was only 7pm and the store closes at 9PM. This was the worst customer service experience i have ever encountered and it was honestly really upsetting to have to go through this with home depot. I was not being heard as a customer and nobody wanted to help me with my situation.

I have visited many Home Depot stores and this store is a cut above the others.

I went to Home Depot to see about installing a deck. I was fortunate to have Lisa Varela at the PRO desk to assist me. She was extremely knowledgeable, thorough , professional, patient and helpful. She made sure that all bases were covered! Felt at all times she had my best interest at heart. What would work for my needs so to speak. Not trying to sell me the most expensive products available or more then I needed.

I bought a number of plumbing items at the Home Depot MDR today. Upon checkout I was told that the store no longer provides bags. If I wanted to bag my purchases I needed to pay Home Depot more money for paper bags. Terrible policy - yet more corporate greed. Home Depot makes more profit - the customers pay the price. I guess Arthur Blank needs more money to spend on the Falcons as the NFL salary cap is going up.

Walked in a joe was very helpful, he is such a chatter and said his manager is the one that makes the associates have some purpose. It hard to come by with leaders who have people skills so who ever is reading this from the big wigs kuddos
