Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting plastic plant pots, CFLs, lead acid batteries, and rechargeable batteries for recycling.
Home Depot stores sent approximately 5.3 million pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This helped the planet by preserving over 63,500 trees, keeping over 16,000 trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saving over 50 million gallons of water, and conserving 7.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity.
LED lights in your local store cut down energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like wind and solar.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment, as well as our communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Read more about our commitment to economic responsibility.
Welcome to the Long Island City Home Depot. We hope you'll drop by and meet our team today.
We pride ourselves on our ability to help you finish your project, everyday. From Husky storage to appliances our team will take care of you. Be sure to download our Home Depot product locator app and talk or chat with an online associate to get immediate assistance. We make DIY projects easy from every angle.
Supporting the community is important to us at The Home Depot. In an effort to fill the trades gap, The Home Depot Foundation has pledged to train 20,000 military veterans to fill the industry pipeline by 2028. We are also committed to helping our customers get the job done right, with workshops to give you expert advice to complete your home improvement project.
You can find us southwest of the intersection of Northern Boulevard and Broadway, across the highway from Best Buy, a mile from the Museum of the Moving Image. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely,
The Long Island City Store Team

How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?
Home Depot gift cards are an excellent present for birthdays, housewarming parties, and the holidays. DIYers know they're fun to give and to receive. Purchase gift cards at our stores or online at homedepot.com. If you receive a gift card, you can check your gift card balance online or visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you.
