How do I know if I can rent the tool I want?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see which tools you can rent. You can also call first to inquire about a tool, or visit our tool rental page to see if it's offered at your local store. If it's not, try another nearby store or reach out to our Rental Center associates to find where that tool is available. Can I rent a tool for an hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and major projects can also be accomodated. You've got options to rent tools by the week, month, or day, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, call your local rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Do saw rentals come with saw blades?
Yes, saw rentals usually come with blades, but we recommend that you get a new one. You probably won't get a sharp saw blade that comes with your rental. However, you might get lucky and have a sharpened blade on the saw. As there's no guarantee, it's better to buy a suitable blade, just in case you need it.
