Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, CFLs, and lead acid batteries for recycling.
Our stores sent approximately 5.3M pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This helped the planet by preserving over 63.5K trees. It kept over 16K trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saved over 50M gallons of water, and conserved 7.8M kilowatt hours of electricity.
LED lights in your local store cut energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives such as solar and wind.

Are Kids Workshops offered at the Brookhaven Home Depot?
Yes, the Brookhaven store offers in-person Kids Workshops. These in-store events are free and take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am and noon. You may reserve your Kids Workshop kit by registering online for the event. We have a new kit pack every month to keep your little doer engaged. Kits include all necessary craft materials, kit instructions, certificate of achievement, stickers, an apron pin, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Paint and all other required tools are provided at the event. Customers who prefer not to participate in the in-person event can pick up their free kit in-store or order online at our Kids Projects Activities page to have it shipped to their home. Call us or visit our customer service counter to check availability of the kits.
How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?

If you receive a gift card, you can visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you or check your gift card balance online.
